Business Development Associate (AI & Enterprise Solutions)

Own the top of our enterprise sales funnel — research high-value accounts across India and international markets, run personalised outreach, and set up qualified conversations that the founders close. A client-facing role for someone who's curious, organised, and genuinely excited about AI and enterprise business.

About the role

CosX is an AI Engineering and Data Platform services company that helps enterprises turn AI into measurable business outcomes. We identify high-impact opportunities, build production-ready AI solutions, develop scalable AI platforms, and embed AI engineers within client teams — across Energy, Manufacturing, Retail, Financial Services and Sustainability, for clients in India and international markets including the UK.

As a Business Development Associate, you'll own the top of the funnel: researching target accounts, building a qualified pipeline, running personalised outreach, and setting up conversations that the founders close. You'll work directly with the founders, sit in on discovery calls with senior business leaders and CXOs, and grow into running first-level qualification meetings yourself.

This is a high-ownership role in a fast-growing startup — real scope, cutting-edge AI exposure, and accelerated career growth. Fixed annual CTC is ₹6–7 LPA, plus attractive performance incentives linked to qualified meetings, pipeline generation and business closures, with rapid progression for exceptional performers.

What you'll do

  • Research industries, markets and emerging trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify and prioritise target companies across India and international markets, and prepare detailed account briefs to support outreach and client meetings.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects using LinkedIn, Apollo, company databases and AI-powered research tools.
  • Execute personalised email, LinkedIn and multi-touch outreach campaigns, and nurture relationships through consistent follow-up.
  • Schedule meetings with prospective customers, partners and industry stakeholders.
  • Participate in discovery calls and client meetings alongside the founders, and represent CosX at networking events and conferences.
  • Conduct first-level qualification meetings independently after suitable training.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, proposals and follow-up communication, and assist in responding to RFPs and strategic opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipeline and activity reports, tracking opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
  • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity to sharpen research, outreach and proposal quality — and bring new ideas to improve our sales process, automation and go-to-market.

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Consulting, Market Research or Customer Success.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management or a related field.
  • An excellent communicator with strong spoken and written English, confident interacting with senior business leaders and CXOs.
  • Exceptionally curious, highly organised and detail-oriented, with a self-driven, proactive attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with significant ownership.
  • Genuinely passionate about AI, technology and enterprise business.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a startup, SaaS, AI, technology or consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo or similar prospecting platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to write professional emails and business communication.
  • Comfort with AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or similar).
  • Strong presentation and proposal-writing skills (PowerPoint, Excel).
